1966 Mercedes-benz 230SL in Butler, Pennsylvania For Sale

I have a xxxx 230SL VIN 113.042-12-xxxx02. It is an excellent driver. I bought it in xxxx and it had xxxx8 miles on it. It came from Ca. There are a few documents stating it was first registered in Ca in xxxx. The guy I bought it from stated he knew the lady that had it for many years. He bought all of the cars she had in xxxx and brought them here to Butler Pa. This car was not running since it sat mostly since the xxxxs. He cleaned the gas tank and got it running and sold the car to me a few months after he bought it. I did a lot of mechanical refreshing on the car and have about xxxx0 miles on it currently. There are some oil change stickers in the car from the xxxxs and one has xxxx0 miles written on it. I drove the car to Blacklick OH 3 times for the Pagoda meeting over 200 miles from my home without any problems. The car has had one repaint in its life from what I can see and it is holding up well. I?m guessing the paint is over 30 years ago. The fender notches and spot welds are all present with nice body gaps. The interior is original including the horsehair pad under the rubber mats. The tool kit and all jack tools are in the trunk. There are oil leaks and the car does drip after being parked. The radio works. The heater controls work but are very stiff. The one that goes for the windshield to the floor recently got stuck half way so I do not move it. There is no rust in the floors and still has factory coating on it. There was surface rust under the trunk mat so I clean up that. I have done a lot of mechanical work and the car is a safe driver. The car received the Mercedes Silver Star Preservation award this past summer.
